Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Gursha, the Amharic language learning app and related websites operated by Donatellio, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using Gursha, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Gursha is provided by Donatellio, Inc. Questions about these Terms: support@gursha.dev.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Gursha. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Gursha with a parent or guardian's permission. By using Gursha, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Accounts
You may need an account to use certain features. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity on your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, appear abusive or fraudulent, or create risk for other users or for us.
4. License to use Gursha
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Gursha for your own language learning. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or our content without our prior written permission.
5. Learning content and AI features
Gursha provides lessons, exercises, dictionary content, Fidel practice, chat tutoring, and related features. Some features use automated or AI-assisted systems. Content may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
Gursha is a learning aid. It is not a substitute for professional translation, formal education, or advice. You are responsible for how you rely on any content or feedback the app provides.
During beta or early access periods, features may change, break, or be withdrawn without notice.
6. Your content
You may submit content to Gursha, including feedback, chat messages, exercise answers, and optional screenshots. You retain ownership of your content. You grant Donatellio, Inc. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and use that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve Gursha (including triage of feedback and AI-assisted features), consistent with our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights to submit the content you provide and that it does not violate law or others' rights.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Gursha for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Harass others or attempt to interfere with other users' accounts
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our systems beyond normal use
- Probe, bypass, or disrupt security or access controls
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a deceptive way
- Use automated means to access Gursha in a way that harms service quality, except as we expressly allow
8. Intellectual property
Gursha, including its software, design, branding, lesson structure, and original curriculum materials, is owned by Donatellio, Inc. or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that intellectual property to you.
The Amharic language and Ethiopic script themselves are not our property. Third-party fonts, libraries, and services remain subject to their own licenses.
9. Third-party services
Gursha relies on third-party services (for example authentication, hosting, analytics, push delivery, and AI providers). Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Gursha, you acknowledge that policy.
11. Disclaimers
GURSHA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT GURSHA WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DONATELLIO, INC. AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF GURSHA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR GURSHA WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR GURSHA IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
13. Termination
You may stop using Gursha at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy or in the app (when available). We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of Gursha after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using Gursha and delete your account.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer laws apply. Subject to applicable law, courts located in the State of Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or Gursha.
